Sculpted by Tim Miller and Randy Bowen, the Scarlet Witch statue was released in 2012 with an edition size of 850 pieces. The sculpt was used also for a Website Exclusive edition (421 samples), characterized by a huge, very jagged cloak which acts as a sort of scenographic background for the figure and, however, make it heavier and somehow more precarious. The powerful sister of Quicksilver shows an elegant, slender and sinuous body, in her typical costume with bustier, gloves and high boots colored in a bright and slightly metallic red and the rest of the body wrapped in a sort of transparent suit which points out arms and legs. The heroine stands frontally erected, with long legs together and both arms raised, as if to launch one of her powerful spells! A long cloak, rich of folds and colored with a rather opaque red tonality, falls down from the neck and surronds the whole body, up to the knees level. Note the graceful sculpt of the open hands, the fine design of the bustier, which emphasizes the sexy contour of the waist and the breast, and the perfect line of the cloak covering the shoulders. The head of Wanda is sculpted to perfection and rather faithful to the tables of Comics: the somatic traits are elegant and very feminine, with two large and round eyes, a little nose up, two captivating lips embellished by a deep, brilliant red lipstick and a fine, chestnut brown thick hair which emphasizes the classic rigid and V-shaped mask of the character. In general, the availability of the Scarlet Witch statue on the market is good and the prices are very affordable; therefore, in my humble opinion, this piece represents an excellent opportunity to enrich your Avengers' team of Bowen statues and, more in general, your collection.
